Dr. Yzedin Hima

Teacher of Albanian Language and Literature. He graduated from the University “Aleksandër Xhuvani” (Language-Literature), holds a Master in Literature from the University of Tirana, and a doctorate in Literary Studies from the Center for Albanological Studies, Tirana. That deep training makes him an important reference for language, text, and literary culture in the gymnasium.

On the Irfan Ngjeqari staff since 2014, he was Director of the gymnasium from 2014 to 2018 and has taught Language and Literature there since 2018. He has contributed to local olympiad results and three national-level results, helping students read carefully and write with responsibility.

Earlier roles include teaching and leadership at Kutalli secondary school (1987–1989); specialist for new Language and Literature programmes in Berat’s Education Section (1989–1992); Director of Berat’s Cultural Center (1992–1996); Director of Berat District Education Directorate (1997); work at Berat Theatre (1997–2000); Literature teacher at “Babë Dudë Karbunara” and “Kristaq Capo” (2000–2005); Director of the Regional Education Directorate of Berat County (2005–2010); Director of the Regional Employment Directorate for Berat County (2010–2013); and external lecturer at Albanian University, Berat branch (2011–2015).

He published and led the independent newspaper “Lajmëtari i Beratit” (2003–2007). Literary works include “Homazh Erës” (1994), “Duart” (1996), “Trill” (1999), and “Pak kohë mbaj në duar” (2002); journalism includes “Kënga e nepërkës” (2006) and “Të mallkuarit me art”; studies include “Vexhi Buharaja - pa mite e mjegull” (2009) and “Letërsia e penguar dhe mitet e saj”.
